so, two things here–  first, it’s been blogged all over, but if somehow you haven’t seen the honorable daphne guiness spread shot by steven klein for vogue italia, you need to immediately.  you can see it’s entirety on the very cool gnarlitude blog.  this spread is beyond amazing.  and secondly, this has made me realize that I need one of these full fingered armor rings.  intensive googling has led me to only three similar options (that aren’t over the top heavy metal, and not in a good way).    pictured first is loree rodkin’s who did the rings pictured in the spread.  reportedly daphne bought one for every finger.  this particular one comes in at a hefty £9,340, making it a bit out of my price range.  the second one is a pretty cool looking vivienne westwood option, which at only £170 would be a bit more reasonable.  However, I think the winner here would be the third option from a shop called 925 sterling silver, based out of the uk.  I think this is actually a pretty close, if not as mind blowing, likeness to the ones pictured in the spread, and coming in at a mere ₤25, I think I’ll be placing an order soon.
