benjamin lowy may be best known for his war photography.  he started his career covering the iraq war in 2003.  those images were named some of the most iconic of the 21st century by photo district news 30.  other subject matter includes run down towns, tsunamis and the haitian revolution.  intense stuff.  i’m not entirely sure how the spring fashion week fits into his body of work, but i know that i like it.  one of his trademarks seems to be the high contrast lighting and looming shadows.  i love every single photo in this series.  check it out on his site.
