today is the day i’ve been waiting for… chanel and mcqueen.  very exciting.  so chanel… hmm.  the clothing is a little anti-climactic for me.  some of the things are crafty, furry, macrame-looking.  a lot of it is simple black, which is good. these are some of the looks that stood out for me.  the most exciting thing is this crazy clear chanel bag/kit thing.  chanel ipod?  woah.  in my initial excitement i wanted to believe that the ipod is perfectly clear.  it looks clear in the picture i think?  i’ve been making other people look at this, and their consensus is no, it’s not clear because where are all the ipod guts?  maybe teeny tiny and hidden behind the screen?  chanel ipod is amazing.  clear chanel ipod would be mind blowing.  maybe even if all the stuff inside showed, but was crazy colored like the swatch phones of the eighties.  so many questions… where are the close ups?  can it be purchased?  does it cost more than two months rent?  does it come pre-loaded with karl’s playlist?

moving on… mcqueen!  this is what fashion is about, people.  i will say that these clown lips frighten me. but mcqueen is always a little frightening when at his best, non?  i love it!  i really want to wear the crazy houndstooth dress.  i got these images from showstudio.  it’s not up elsewhere yet, and sadly not many good shoe shots here.  i’m guessing they’ll be fabulous as well.
